You are going to LOVE one of the stars of outdoor hit “As you Like it” in a forthcoming fundraiser.
Fennikusu founder Hadesa Sonné wooed audiences as shepherdess Audrey (plus a myriad of other roles) in the Cream Faced Loons version of #Shakespeare’s celebrated comedy.
And they are sure to flock to Gulliver’s (Oldham Street, Manchester) on May 18 and 19th to see her sing, act and direct in “Rising”, a fundraiser to generate cash to enable disadvantaged people to access the arts.
Hadesa will open and close the show with a song, perform in her self-penned monologue “Secret Smile” and join Fennikusu side-kick Pete Gibson in a hilarious swipe at racists featuring two Cockney High Court judges!
Some of the cash raised from the shows will go towards two vital pieces of drama produced by Hadesa, that will educate and entertain. “Skin Deep” authored by Hadesa gives audiences a peep into the life of people with eating disorders. While celebrated spoken word artist Rosie Staniford’s “Again” offers a waspish criticism of those who commit sexual assault.
Hadesa’s last two Fennikusu shows, “Stigma” and “Stolen Moments” have tackled serious subjects such as prejudice with a fascinating twist and plenty of truth!
And we honestly think she will be a big hit in “Rising” too, so buy your ticket today from https://bit.ly/2I6R6yi
